College and Honeywell team up to offer exciting opportunity

South Essex College and Honeywell Building Solutions in the UK are joining forces to offer an Electronic & Digital Engineer apprenticeship with places available to start this September.

The college and Honeywell, a global business engineering everything from jets to smart homes, is particularly interested to hear from female applicants who want to enter the world of engineering as a career.

Together they are holding an assessment day on Wednesday 7 July at the college’s Luckyn Lane campus in Basildon. Please send a copy of your CV to Jacquelyn.Shelton@Honeywell.com to register to attend.

The four year Level 3 course is a semi-residential rolling programme working for Honeywell but also studying at the college’s Luckyn Lane campus in Basildon, studying for a month and staying in a hotel nearby during this period and then working on site for a month.

This training will ultimately result with the student being competent to progress into a role as a Connected Service Engineer.

Jacquelyn Shelton, Apprenticeship Manager UK & Nordics, said: “As a business we are looking to grow or own talent and invest in apprentices to help fill our future roles. The workplace thrives on diversity, there is a bright future in engineering for women, sharing their new ideas and having the opportunity to be inventive and creative.”
