South Essex Colleges Group Logistics operates two DVSA-accredited LGV driving schools, located in Basildon, Essex, and Wellesbourne in the Midlands. Through these dedicated training centres, we deliver high-quality commercial driver training designed to meet the needs of employers across the transport and logistics sector. We offer accredited training through DSA Accredited Testing Centres, covering:

Training for Employers

Training for Individuals

We offer a LGV Skills Bootcamp which is government-funded and designed to help individuals start a career in LGV driving.

The programme runs for 16 weeks and includes: 

  • Comprehensive training covering classroom induction and theory, practical driving skills and manoeuvring, safety protocols and regulations, vehicle maintenance and inspections, alongside preparation for testing.
  • Preparation for and administration of the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) tests required for LGV certification.
  • Support is available throughout your training, including access to study materials, tutoring and mentoring, as well as support with job placement after completion.
