South Essex College support ‘Love Our Colleges’ week

‘Love Our Colleges’ week is an opportunity to celebrate the great work of colleges up and down the country, but also to highlight significant concerns about funding cuts to the sector.

From 2009 to 2019, FE funding has been cut by around 30%. The week, taking place between 15-19 October, will see trade unions, students and colleges come together to call for better funding and fair pay for colleges.

A national petition calling on the Government to urgently increase college funding has been set up. If it gets 100,000 signatures, this will have to be debated in parliament. You can support this campaign by signing the petition here, it only takes a few minutes.
