I've started a course but don't feel it is right for me, am I able to change to a different course?

If you have started a course that you feel isn’t right for you, you may be able to swap to a different course up to mid-October.  During this time South Essex College holds ‘Swap Don’t Drop’ events.  Dates of these will be published here, on our website and on screens around the campuses.  In the first instance, South Essex College students should tell their Student Manager that they would like to move to another course.  External customer would need to contact our Course Advisers via email [email protected] or call 0845 52 12345 and ask to speak to a Course Advisor.

After this point, due to the work that you would have to catch-up on, it is very unlikely that that you could change to a different course, until the following September.  In this case, our recommendation would be to stay on course and finish that year, but speak to one of our staff members to advise you of your options for starting a different course in September.

For customers not currently studying at South Essex College email [email protected] or call 0845 52 12345 and ask to speak to a Course Adviser.

For South Essex College students contact a Careers Coach by emailing [email protected] or call 0845 52 12345.

Or alternatively you can attend one of our open events, where Student Managers will be available to discuss transferring to another course.
