Event Details

Thursday, June 24 2021
16:00 - 20:00

Join us on Thursday 24 June at our Virtual Aspire Conference and find out about the options available to young people with SEND whilst studying at college and deciding their next steps for the future. Our talks are aimed at both students, parents and carers, and you will have a chance to chat to our support teams, local councils and organisations to discover what opportunities are out there.

Guest speakers and talks include:

  • Alex Manners - 'My Life Living with Asperger's'
  • South Essex College students talking about their experiences and raising awareness of Autism
  • 'My Uni Journey' aimed at young people and parents

The Preparing for Adulthood Services and Thurrock Youth Services will also be presenting and available for Q&As afterwards, along with many other organisations. You can also chat to our Higher Education and Apprenticeship teams at the college about studying for a degree or starting an apprenticeship or supported internship.

Register now to book your place and we will send you the link to access the virtual event a few days before. We look forward to seeing you there.

Please note: This event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams, the app may need to be downloaded in advance to access the talks via mobile phone.
