Overview

The CCNSG Leading a Team Safely is a one day workshop designed to provide an essential introduction to supervising/managing small teams within the context of Health and Safety across industries involving engineering and construction.

Entry Requirements

It is a condition of entry to the course that you hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity remaining.

Course Structure

Amongst other things the course covers:

  • Methods of successful communication
  • How to lead a team successfully
  • Achieving safe outcomes within a team
  • Self-management
  • How to work safely with others

It explores these topics in an interactive way and delegates’ participation throughout the day is a key factor. The course is based around the concept of ‘The Good Job’ and is structured into four elements: 

  • The Team 
  • The Plan 
  • The Job
  • Good Job

Assessment & Feedback

One day, from 9am to 4.30pm

The assessment is carried out via a multiple choice paper.
