On completion of this unit you will be able to prepare for make-up instruction and instruct on make-up application.

  • Select products, tools and equipment to suit client treatment needs, skin types and conditions

  • Position yourself and the client correctly throughout the treatment
  • Use products, tools, equipment and techniques to suit client treatment needs
  • Instruct the client(s) on make-up application to promote understanding
  • Provide the client with written make-up Instructions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the make-up instruction with the client
  • Complete the treatment to the satisfaction of the client
  • Record the results of the treatment
  • Provide suitable aftercare advice

What can I do after this?

Once you have completed this qualification, you can gain further accreditation by attending additional units of the beauty academy training programme. There are also full-time beauty-related courses and part-time beauty taster events, please visit the College website for further details.
