This course is suitable across a range of industries as it covers the essential knowledge required to be safe at work.

What's covered?

  • employer's and employee's duties relating to health, safety and welfare at work
  • hazards – how to identify and with them; risk assessments and correct procedures for dealing with risk
  • dealing with emergencies and the importance of record keeping

How will my work be assessed?

This course is assessed by a 45 minute, 20 question multiple choice examination. Learners must achieve a mark of at least 12 in order to pass.

What can I do after this?

On successful completion of course learners can progress onto a level 3 Health & Safety course.
