This course is ideal if you want to learn how to change hair colour.

Course details


This course is perfect if you want to gain the knowledge and skills to change hair colour using basic temporary and semi-permanent products, quasi-permanent, permanent and lightening.

You will develop skills including colour applications for temporary and semi-permanent colouring, quasi-permanent, permanent and lightening, full head, roots, woven and cap techniques.

You will understand how to select suitable application methods, choose suitable products, work safely and efficiently and to give aftercare advice. You will be able to prepare and provide a colouring hair service.

  • Importance of restoring the pH of the hair after a permanent colour

You can progress to other hairdressing units such as Art of Dressing Hair or Cutting Women’s Hair.

You are required to have completed the Shampoo and Conditioning unit and Health & Safety prior to undertaking this course.
