Learn the basics of AutoCAD and Computer Aided Design.
This course will provide you with an opportunity to explore the main concepts of computer aided design, the overall aim of this course is to build a strong foundation for you to develop your computer aided design skills.
The course covers all the necessary skills needed for CAD beginners, taking the student from the very basics to a reasonable level so you are able draft and design your own ideas.
The skills you develop from these sessions you can build upon to begin to understand how to design in 3D or solid modelling which could lead to 3D printing your own unique designs.

There is no formal assessment for this course, however, there may be some informal tutor and peer assessment.
On completion of this course you may wish to attend another Adult Short Course or undertake a qualification such as 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Level 2 Award, please see the College website for further details.
The only entry requirement needed for our evening and weekend courses is enthusiasm and a desire to learn a new skill or hobby.
