Results day 2019 - Lauren Turner

Laurenis delighted her A-Level results have landed her a university place in bonnie Scotland having only decided to study at South Essex College at the last minute.

She studied History, Law and Psychology and is proud to have been accepted at the University of Aberdeen to study psychology.

She said: “Before coming to the college I was in quite a bad place mentally. I was originally planning to study at a school sixth form college but decided at the last minute that I needed to be in a different environment from school. I am so glad I did because I have been treated like an adult by people who are non-judgemental and it is a relief to be studying in such an inclusive place. I have had the best two years.”

Laurenis taking a gap year to work as a support worker before taking her well-earned place at university.
