Get involved with your Student Union

Want to represent your peers and have a say on college life? The Student Union elections take place in October with nominations opening on 25 September.
Put yourself forward for election to the union which exists to improve your College experience both academically and socially and make your time with us exciting and memorable. It’s also a great way to gain important experience to put on your CV. There are also paid positions in the Student Union.
The Student Union organises clubs and societies, trips, parties, leisure and sporting activities, as well as various charity events and awareness campaigns.
Shivika Gupta, Student Services Team Leader (Enrichment & Learner Voice), encouraged students to get involved.
She said: “It’s your College and we want you to have a voice in how things happen here! It’s a fantastic opportunity to play an active role in our community, make friends, learn new things and ensure your voice is heard.”
Nominations open on 25 September with the election taking place in October, forms can be found on Moodle or you can request a copy from Shivika.Gupta@southessex.ac.uk
