Student Intranet Access
Students may access the college intranet - C_Space - using their standard network username and password. This will provide
access to detailed course and lesson plans, individual learning plans, timetables, forums and learning resources. Due to the nature of
this service access to C_Space off-site cannot be guaranteed and is not intended as a substitute for accessing C_Space in College.
Access Your Work from Home
South Essex College provides access to your files on the College Network from any secure and up-to-date Windows XP/Vista/7 PC or laptop with a broadband Internet connection recommended.
This service allows currently enrolled students from all campuses to access College resources and programs they may not have installed at home, such as Microsoft Office 2010.

Please note that access to South Essex College services outside of College premises is not a guaranteed service.
Security
- The College's Network User Agreement applies to your use these services. You are responsible for the content of all files uploaded to the College Network.
- You should take necessary steps to ensure that your use of these services is secure and does not result in viruses or any other potentially harmful program or data reaching the College Network.
- You are responsible for the security of your College Username and Password and must ensure that no other person is aware of them.
- An individual’s external access to the College Network may be removed at any time and without warning. This may be for Security reasons, or for breach of this Policy.
- Staff Accessing the College Network externally should not use the service to transfer personal information relating to individuals - Please see College Data Protection Policy for more information
Student E-mail Access
Southend and Thurrock Learning Campus Students
 To access the new student e-mail system please visit http://mail.se-essex-college.ac.uk
You will be presented with a Windows Live log on screen. Please log on using your student ID number followed by @se-essex-college.ac.uk (eg: 50010001@se-essex-college.ac.uk)
Your password is set to your date of birth in the format ddMMMyy (eg. 01JAN95) . please note the use of upper case for the month.
Your new e-mail address is the same as your logon id, we have also set up a secondary e-mail address for you in the format firstname.surname@se-essex-college.ac.uk . Some people however have the same name and so we would suggest you check your secondary e-mail account details before giving people your e-mail address.
