Open Event - Basildon Campus

Wednesday, 04 February 2015

South Essex College

This open event is a great way to get an idea of what it is like to study here at South Essex College. You can see the teaching rooms, facilities and equipment first-hand, talk to the tutors about the courses you’re interested in, and have a tour of the whole Campus to get a feel for the place.

There are lots of our current students helping on the night, so you can talk to them about what they think of life at the College.

If you need information on careers, funding, travel, or any other advice, our Student Services team are available to talk to you one-to-one.

Why should I attend an open evening?

Our open events are a great way to get an idea of what it is like to study here at South Essex College. You can see the teaching rooms, facilities and equipment first-hand, talk to the tutors about the courses you’re interested in, and even have a tour of the whole Campus to get a feel for the place – each Campus is open for you to look around!

There will also be our current students helping on the night, so you can talk to them about what they think of life at the College.

Additionally if you need information on careers, funding, travel, any other course-related advice, or just a chat, our Student Services team are available to talk to you one-to-one.

If you decide you like the College and would like to apply for a course here, you can complete your application form on the night, with staff on hand to assist you with the process, to ensure you stand the best possible chance of getting your place on the course you’ve chosen.

If you have any queries, please call the College on 0845 52 12345 or e-mail marketing@southessex.ac.uk and we’ll get back to you with further help.

Want to be a student ambassador?

We're always looking for positive and enthusiastic students to help out at our open evenings. As an ambassador, you'll help to direct visitors around the College and show them our facilities, what's more we'll even pay you for your time (the current pay rate is £6.31 per hour)!

If you are a current student and would like to represent your College as a student ambassador, please complete an application form and hand it in at reception at any of our main campuses, ensuring that it is marked for the attention of the Marketing Team.
