Our Careers Service aims to give you the necessary skills to enhance your chances
of employability in today's competitive market. Our Careers Officer can provide
you with one-to-one guidance interviews, a drop-in service and careers-based workshops.
According to a National Union of Students (NUS) survey the majority of students,
a staggering 78%, choose to work while studying. Although working as a student can
be incredibly useful and help you have some money to subsidise your travel and living
costs, in a climate that is becoming more and more competitive it can also be vital
to get some valuable experience under your belt.
As a student, the College can assist you in finding and preparing for employment,
offering top tips on interviews, CV writing, employment with training, voluntary
work as well as listing many opportunities with local and National employers.
We run a number of workshops throughout the year that give you the chance to hear
from a range of guest speakers and employers.
