Quality Marks
In February 2010 the newly merged South Essex College gained accreditation
for the Training Quality Standard Part A through the work of its Business Development Team.
This was a major achievement by the Business Development Team. The Training Quality Standard
is a hard won award which in this case was in recognition of the commitment of Business Development
Staff to working with employers across Essex to help them successfully achieve a positive impact on
their businesses through staff development and training. The withdrawal of government funding for
the Training Quality Standard (TQS) has brought about the establishment of the quality mark
'Training Excellence' which the College now holds jointly with TQS.
