Employer Charter

South Essex College is committed to offering excellent standards of training and support in a responsive and professional environment. This Charter details our commitment to fulfilling your training needs in an efficient and professional manner. When you contact us to discuss options for training we will:

  • Provide an enquiry service that is accessible and effective.
  • Respond to your enquiry in a detailed manner within 48 hours.
  • Provide you with advice and guidance that this relevant in a style that is flexible to your needs.
  • Undertake a company development and training plan based on discussions with staff in your organisation.
  • Refer you to an appropriate alternative organisation if we are not able to meet your needs.
  • Advise you on the cost of your training, indicating where funding is available.

When you have identified the training you require in conjunction with us, we will:

  • Present a detailed plan that demonstrates your vision for growth and excellence, as well as providing specific information on how to achieve this through training.
  • Provide a named contact for you to liaise with.
  • Provide a flexible enrolment service.
  • Provide timely pre-course information and an induction to prepare for your training.

During your training we will:

  • Ensure that the chosen training venue is appropriate and of high quality.
  • Provide knowledgeable, well-trained staff.
  • Provide high quality learning materials tailored to the needs of the learner.
  • Keep you informed about your own and/or your employee’s progress.
  • Provide assessment that is fair and consistent and in accordance with awarding body regulations.
  • Provide a range of additional support that will ensure accessible training to all learners.

When your training is complete we will:

  • Seek your feedback within two weeks of course completion and act on any reasonable comments.
  • Undertake an impact survey within three months of course completion, the findings of which will be available for your own use.
  • Contact you every three months after the completion of the impact survey to discuss future needs and developments.
