Apprenticeships at South Essex College
What are Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are work-based training courses designed around the needs of employers, which provide paid employees with nationally recognised qualifications and key transferable skills. Available to anyone over the age of 16 who is in employment, Apprenticeships are a cost-effective means of filling skills gaps in an organisation. They allow employers to train new staff as well as upskill current employees to meet the demands of the future. Unlike some other Further Education options which are almost entirely classroom-based, Apprentices train mostly on-the-job, with an element of classroom-based study to validate and reinforce their learning.
