Support with employment
According to a National Union of Students (NUS) survey the majority of students,
a staggering 78%, choose to work while studying. The College can assist you in finding
and preparing for employment, offering top tips on interviews, CV writing, employment
with training, voluntary work as well as listing many opportunities with local and
National employers.
Throughout the year we run a number of fantastic workshops that give you the chance
to hear from a range of guest speakers and employers.

We’re dedicated to providing all students with comprehensive advice, guidance, and
careers education that will help you work out what to do next. Throughout your time
at College a dedicated team of Careers and Advisory staff are available to provide
advice about the range of opportunities that you have when you complete your studies
with us.
We also have loads of helpful information in our Careers library. Additionally,
our Careers staff and Advisers can:
- Assist you with the UCAS application process
- Provide information about funding, including student loans, grants, bursaries additional
funding for students with disabilities
We have our own dedicated Careers staff, so you can also book a one-to-one careers
interview at any time just by visiting Learner Support Services.
Where can you find us?
If you want to find out more about your career opportunities or our services, please
drop in or book an appointment to see a Careers Adviser. Our main office is at the
Luker Road site in Southend and can be found just through the ground floor lift
lobby. Client Advisers can also be found at Learner Support Services terminals
in the main reception area and the Atrium Cafe.
