Wellstead Gardens features a wealth of sporting facilities as well as a fully-licensed
bar and clubhouse. It is a social club environment for all private members (HE students,
College staff and local residents). Acquired by South Essex College in 2004, Wellstead
Gardens offers much for the student as well as the local community in terms of sports,
great bar prices, venue hire and a glittering array of events all year round!

Closed every Monday and Wednesday - except Wednesday 8th
Families are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
All draft & bottle beer £1.99 each Friday between 17:00 – 19:00

South Essex College Sports at Wellstead Gardens
Wellstead Gardens is the home of South Essex College’s Football Academy, who train
there four times a week. In addition to football facilities, Wellstead can accommodate
a wide range of sports in its large grounds, which include cricket pitches.
All relevant sporting events are shown on the big screen TV. A pool table and dartboard
are also available for use.
